Market & Resolution Policy

How SOLCAST expects markets to be written, evidenced, resolved, disputed, and invalidated.

Last updated · 27 August 2026

Market clarity

Questions must define a binary condition, relevant asset or event, time window, timezone, measurement rule, and authoritative source with enough precision for an independent reviewer to reach the same outcome.

Evidence hierarchy

The stated primary official source controls when available. A documented fallback source may be used only when the primary source cannot reliably determine the outcome. Social posts, screenshots, or secondary commentary should not override a defined official source.

Automatic resolution

Automatic markets may resolve only when required evidence is available and the configured condition can be evaluated deterministically. Missing or conflicting evidence must fail closed rather than fabricate an outcome.

Invalidation

A market may be marked invalid when rules are contradictory, evidence cannot determine the result, the event is cancelled in a way not covered by the rules, or a technical or integrity issue makes fair resolution impossible.

Disputes and review

Where review tools are available, disputes should identify the exact rule, timestamp, and evidence being challenged. Resolution records should preserve the final decision and supporting evidence.

Creator independence

Creating a market does not give the creator unilateral authority to change the result or alter rules after trading begins.

These product documents are general service terms and disclosures, not jurisdiction-specific legal advice. Production real-money or token functionality may require additional terms, licensing, eligibility, KYC/AML, sanctions, and geographic controls.
